The Demographic and Workforce Analysis of the Bowen Basin, 2010 contains two reports based on the results of the 2006 Census of Population and Housing and on later data to 2009.
The first report presents a demographic profile of the Bowen Basin region. It provides an analysis of local government areas, statistical local areas and selected localities in the Bowen Basin, including demographic profiles, population projections, household projections, and recent housing activity.
The second report contains a statistical analysis of 2006 Census results, including place of work, place of usual residence, age structure of labour force, and occupation and industry of the employed population. The report also contains detailed analysis of Census results for the mining industry workforce in the region.
