Synthetic Population Estimates by Indigenous Status – Technical Papers

In response to a significant demand within the Queensland Government and community, the Office of Economic and Statistical Research (OESR) has developed detailed synthetic estimates by Indigenous status by age and sex for statistical local areas (SLAs), based on the 2006, 2008 and 2010 Australian Standard Geographical Classifications, for the years 2000 to 2010.

The Methodology Paper below provides a detailed description of the method used to generate these synthetic estimates.

These estimates have been synthetically estimated and should be used with caution. The Data Quality Paper below provides more details on the data quality of these estimates.
