Queensland Government Population Projections: Queensland and Statistical Divisions
The current edition, released in 2011, takes into account the most recent information on trends in the components of population change (fertility, mortality and migration) and the latest planning and development intelligence available at that time.
The publication, Queensland Government population projections to 2056: Queensland and statistical divisions, 2011 edition, contains summary projections and assessments of the changing composition, distribution and location-specific impacts behind the information. Projections are available at the state level to 2056 and for individual statistical divisions to 2031.
The revised projections were developed through the Queensland Government Population Projections Advisory Group (comprising demographic experts from across Government and from the University of Queensland).
