Queensland Economic Review, March 2009
Dear QER readers,
Thank you for your ongoing interest in Treasury's Queensland Economic Review.
As you are probably aware, the QER has for some time been available on the OESR website at www.oesr.qld.gov.au and, increasingly, readers of publications like the QER expect electronic delivery, rather than a printed and posted publication. Accordingly, we are cancelling the current production and distribution arrangements for this publication. We will be re-formatting the QER to allow for ease of printing in both black and white and colour.
If you wish to continue to receive a copy of the QER, which will be in PDF format, please join the email distribution list. You can do this by emailing qer@treasury.qld.gov.au and including ‘QER’ in the subject line.
We hope that you will continue to enjoy reading the online version of the QER.
PLUS, IN THIS ISSUE . . .
- Labour Market
- Dwelling approvals
- Retail turnover
- National accounts
- Merchandise trade
- Major economic indicators by state
For Your Information
Recent data show that Queensland’s major trading partner, Japan, has been severely affected by the economic downturn in the US and Europe. This month’s FYI looks at the key aspects of the slowdown in Japan and the implications for the Queensland economy.
