Bowen Basin Population Report, 2007
Full-time equivalent population estimates for all nine local government areas within the Bowen Basin. The full-time population estimate was informed by the Survey of Accommodation Providers, conducted in July 2007.
The survey confirms that non-resident workers currently constitute a sizable proportion (around 12%) of the full-time equivalent population in the Bowen Basin. This represents one non-resident worker for every eight usual residents.
