Population Growth Highlights and Trends, Queensland
This report presents information on Queensland’s population growth, with analysis at the state, regional and local levels. Two special chapters examine skills and skill shortages in Queensland and population impacts of the global economic downturn.
The appendices contain the estimated resident populations and rates of population change for all statistical divisions, reformed local government areas, statistical local areas, statistical districts and regional planning project areas in Queensland. Estimated resident populations are shown from 1981 to 2008 for reformed local government areas and from 2001 for pre-reformed local government areas.
Natural increase and assumed net migration for reformed local government areas, 2002 to 2007, are also included.
