ANZ Job Advertisement Series
The ANZ Job Advertisement Series measures on a monthly basis the average number of job advertisements per week in the major metropolitan daily newspapers of each State (i.e. The Courier Mail in Queensland; The Sydney Morning Herald and The Daily Telegraph in New South Wales; The Age and Herald Sun, in Victoria; The Advertiser in South Australia, The West Australian in Western Australia; and The Mercury, The Examiner and The Advocate in Tasmania) and in both Territories (The Canberra Times in the Australian Capital Territory and The NT News in the Northern Territory). It should be noted that this vacancies series is not necessarily a reliable leading indicator of employment growth in Queensland.
