Persons Needing Help, Queensland (Bulletin 17 Census 2006)
In 2006, the five-yearly national Census of Population and Housing by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) included for the first time questions to identify those people who need help with daily activities, including self-care, mobility and communication. This bulletin contains information on the demographic characteristics of people with a profound or severe disability. The bulletin also contains comparative data from the Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers conducted by the ABS in 2003.
