Statistical Liaison Officer Networks
OESR maintains and promotes statistical liaison networks across the state, comprising representatives from all Queensland Government agencies, Local Government authorities, regional bodies, and the Commonwealth Government. The objective of these networks is to encourage member agencies to share knowledge and information on statistical issues, current and future projects, and research proposals and opportunities.
There are currently 10 Statistical Liaison Officer networks throughout Queensland, covering regions around Brisbane, the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, West Moreton (Ipswich), Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Darling Downs and South West (Toowoomba) and Wide Bay (Bundaberg). The networks generally meet quarterly and provide a regular forum for discussions on a wide range of topic areas. The meetings provide members with the latest information regarding regional statistics releases.
