The Queensland Government Awareness Campaign

Count me in.

The Queensland Government encouraged participation in the Census through a state-wide awareness campaign featuring the theme Count me in.

The campaign was coordinated by Queensland Treasury’s Office of Economic and Statistical Research. It provided a Queensland focus for the Census that complemented the national campaign undertaken by the ABS.

The main objective of the Queensland campaign was to encourage people from rural and remote, Indigenous, high-rise and gated communities to participate, as these groups were been under-represented in previous years.

OESR worked closely with local communities across Queensland over the year to heighten awareness of the Census, demonstrating its value to Queensland and how the community can use Census statistics.
