Welcome to the Office of Economic and Statistical Research web site. This site contains a wide range of demographic, economic and social data relating to the state of Queensland, as well as information about using statistics and the services we provide.
To help Queensland celebrate its 150th birthday, OESR has compiled a Q150 Statistical Collection. This collection includes digital books, historical documents, statistical stories and statistical tables. The collection will help Queenslanders discover more about our state's history and provides the community with valuable information to help write and share their stories.
OESR is pleased to welcome the Planning Information and Forecasting Unit (PIFU) to the Office. PIFU brings an extensive range of expertise in providing quality data and advice on population dynamics and forecasts, residential dwelling activity and urban land supply to clients at all levels of government and in the private sector.
Looking for a quick snapshot of your community? Try OESR’s very popular Queensland Regional Profiles reporting tool. These on-line profiles contain a range of demographic, social and economic data and can be generated for Statistical Divisions (SD), State Electoral Districts (SED) or Local Government Areas (LGA). Additionally, you can create reports on customised regions by grouping multiple SEDs or LGAs.
